Pictou County Military Museum
Featuring information and artifacts relating to the contributions of Pictou County Military Personnel in all aspects of the military, including Army, Navy, Air Force, and Special Services past and present. Artifacts date as far back as the First World War and include memorabilia from the Second World War, Korean War, PeaceKeeping and other military efforts giving commemoration to those who have served. Uniforms, hat badges, shoulder flash, weapons, medals and more. All housed in the police station in the Town of Westville. Hours of Operation: Summer: Monday to Saturday, 10am-5pm Winter: By Appointment Only.

Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame
Pictou County has produced more outstanding athletes per capita than any other area in Nova Scotia. This museum houses over 2000 artifacts, scrapbooks, a video library and medals in over 30 categories of sport. (And they always welcome more contributions!) With a lounge to sit and browse through these items, the Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame is well worth the visit!

Administrators of the Hector Exhibit Centre and McCulloch House Museum. The Pictou County Genealogy and Heritage Society values the contributions made by our Pictou County ancestors and their descendants. We strive to be a centre for the pride, traditions and achievements of Pictou County people - past, present and future. The Pictou County Genealogy and Heritage Society acquires, maintains and makes available for use private and government records. Our archives' holdings consist of correspondence, manuscripts, journals, newspapers, books, photographs, documents, maps and more.

Northumberland Fisheries Museum
The Northumberland Fisheries Museum prides itself on preserving the rich sea heritage and culture along the Northumberland Strait. We pay tribute to the life and times of all involved, past and present, with the fishing industry. Northumberland Fisheries Museum


Museum of Industry
The Nova Scotia Museum of Industry interprets, preserves and collects the industrial heritage of the province. It was built on the site of the Foord Pit of the Albion mines, the first major coal mine in Nova Scotia. The site itself contains a number of rich archaeological sites such as the first major foundry in the province. The permanent exhibition features displays of past, present and future Nova Scotian industries. It explains industrial technology, history of the worker, and the worker's family and community. The collection includes some 14,000 artifacts and display are interactive.
